MNG support in an extension is something a lot of people have been hoping for since it was removed from the main Mozilla source, see bug 18574 for some code

That doesn’t need an extension – look for bookmark keywords in the various resources; forum, wiki etc

My favorite feature in firefox is how I can go to the address bar, and type in :google roachfiend and it will take me to the google search results for roachfiend. However, I would love to be able to use the other google search products such as google local, map, froogle, etc in that same fashion.

I assume an extension would just intercept address bar input and format based on some predefined strings (such as it does already with google). Thanks!

I haven’t read all comments, so I don’t know if this has been suggested yet, but I would like to have extension similar to x (by Chrish Neale) that clears privacy data (history, cache, cookies), but I would like it to only clear data from current site I am visiting or data from current browser session. I don’t want it to clear all my history and cache.

This is because at home, we use same user for everyone at our family and everyone uses same profile in firefox. Sometimes I just would want to clear things like webmail, bank… other sensitive things from cache that I don’t want others to get access to.

A “Merged Tabs” extension would be awesome. For instance: you click on a tab and drag it onto another one, and they merge to form a “split screen” tab. Very useful for someone making a webpage with a browser-based editor: they could see their changes very easily. Also useful for someone writing an email based on the contents of a webpage: one half of the screen for the email composer, and one half for the webpage.

I think an extension that pulls the browser out of the dark ages would be one that easily facilitates a simple yet super powerful rich text mode.

Arguably Midas does this but poorly (IMHO, sorry to the Midas guys)

I’m sure it could be done better though.
