    All extensions are now flocked

Filed under: general — Eric @ 2:37 pm

Since some people have written that they would like Flock support, all of my extensions are now compatible with Flock’s developer preview.

I don’t really see the hubbub that apparently everyone else does- it seems like Firefox with a new GUID and a hook to del.icio.us. Am I missing something fantastic about it?

    Upgrading WordPress to 1.5.2… again

Filed under: general — Eric @ 6:39 am

The stock install that Dreamhost has is 1.5, so I’m about to hop it up to 1.5.2. I did this before at my old host, so hopefully it will be as smooth as it was back then.

    Hang tight…

Edit: …and we’re good to go. Hopefully.

Hosting problems are now (hopefully) a thing of the past

Filed under: general — Eric @ 10:14 am

Okay, everything is now good to go. Man, that was a pain in the butt. Basically what happened was this:

My old host blocked access to the site, saying that I had not paid that month for my account. That was interesting, since not only do I have automatic payments set up, but I had already paid until June of 2006. Then they said that, oh, wait a minute… we meant that you never paid for the year of 2004. Yeah, that’s it.

    Bear with me, folks…

Filed under: general — Eric @ 7:14 pm

I know you can’t download anything right now. I’m in the process of moving everything over from my old host, who, by the way, was terrible, in every sense of the word. I’m now with Dreamhost, who I’ve heard great things about.

All I can say is thank God I backed up my site a few days ago. I’m trying to get the domain extensions.roachfiend.com working again, so the extensions can be downloaded.

The transition should be done fairly soon, barring any other unpleasant bumps in the road.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Update: subdomains are up, so downloads should work fine now.
