still down.

Might be your DNS caches, because it works just fine for me.
November 5th, 2005 at 11:38 am
Working now. DNS updates are cached to reduce load on servers, your ISP may have been caching them unusually long or might have updated the cache just before the change was made. Sometimes it’s handy to run your own DNS server on a cheap Linux box, rather than rely on your ISP.

http://www.bugmenot.com is down
bugmenot.com is up
http://www.bugmenot.com is resolving to a different IP than bugmenot.com. Tell the DNS admins to get off their butts and fix it.

Same problem here, both URLs are redirected maybe due to old DNS records. I did a web based DNS query and found:
http://bugmenot.nfshost.com/
Thsi one works for me.

Looks like it’s down again…
November 9th, 2005 at 7:57 am
No, it’s not. There will always be people who will have problems for one reason or another, but in this previous case, it was legitimately down.
Now it is legitimately up, as the title indicates.

Recently the bugmenot extension has quit working. When I try to fill in a logon, it just says “Getting username/password: Try 1″ And then “Receiving username and password…” but nothing happens. If I paste the URL into the bugmenot site, it gives correct logins. I guess it is just the extension that is broken.

It seems to be up, but the extension doesn’t work.
It used to come up with an error message if there was no entry for a particular site. The one I am trying is http://www.mainetoday.com/membercenter/register1.html
Thanks for trying.

Looks like bugmenot.com’s HTML layout changed, so that is most likely causing the parsing algorithms inside the extension to not work.

Definitely the extension is pooched. I have FF 1.5 and when I try to use it, nothing happens. Zip.Zilch. Nada. No pop up window, no error message … no login.
January 4th, 2006 at 8:34 pm
I’m with EllKay here… the extension hasn’t done anything since the update… right click->BugMeNot and nothing happens… no error msg, no flashing lights, nothing…
January 5th, 2006 at 11:18 am
same behavior as above, might as well not be installed, it was a nice extension, but seems to be dead.
Odd, I mean it was even on bug me not’s index page that this extension existed…
Oh well, get what you pay for it and it was awesome when it was working!
January 5th, 2006 at 5:27 pm
The site is still fine, but as you gathered, the extension is not. It’s being worked on right now, and I hope to release the new working version within a week or so.
Stay tuned…

FYI … I got it to partially work by unchecking get login info in background (use with auto fill). I get the popup window with possible logins … no auto fill, no auto close window … *shrug*
I shall remain patient …

Crap I’m tired … I also meant to note that I also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the extension, meaning I remove all those database files and stuff from my profiles
