    Spam settings are now "supastrong"

The amount of spam comments this blog gets is just absurd. I recently tweaked the hell out of my spam plugins, so let me know if it’s too difficult to post a simple comment. I’d almost rather have it ask you a few questions and then let you post rather than let any type of entity mindlessly post twelve unrelated comments in a row. (I’m looking at you, “bangbus” and “8th-street-latinas-sex.com”.)

      test. seems ok. (:

    3. Bangbus Says:

This is an awesome thing, how bangbus can stillmake it in! I love your site, and it’s anti-spam messages- go bangbus!

    4. Guy who Really did Last Comment Says:

Sorry about that last post, maybe just blockout the word tottally, would that work?

    5. Eric Says:

Maybe. But then I’d never get to use the word “bangbus” in a normal conversation, and I’m not going to let some spammer take away my right to do so. Same thing goes for 8th street latinas sex dot com!

As long as the same two dipshits aren’t allowed to post retarded things that are just glorified ads to visit their porn sites, then I don’t really care. Bangbus!

    6. Spacetech Says:

      lol you go tell them!

    7. minimoe Says:

What exactly are you doing to keep them away? Or is that your own dirty secret? ;-)

Wouldn’t it be efficient to have one of those auto generated images with passwords on them?

i hate porn and i hate sex it’s so useless and stupid i hate people! darn spammers spamming porn your sick! porn is stupid.

The spam plugin is set for “Total Beeyatch” mode. It rates a whole lot of different things and then analyzes how strict it needs to be. The images you’re talking about are part of a protection called captcha, which this site uses if it thinks the comment might be spam.

Sorry for posting this here, but I’m having some trouble with the excellent bugmenot extension. The OK button in the options dialog doesn’t close the window, altough it saves the settings. It doesn’t submit the form automatically anymore. I’m using FF 1.5 RC3:
      Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

      Will you fix this?

    11. testing Says:

strangely enough, I was thinking up how to write an anti-spam php code too when I came here to check for updates.

    12. Will Says:

Yes I love Spam Karma 2 as well. ;)

    13. IGrizzli Says:

Spam Karma is really best i think. It’s save me and my blog

    14. Will Says:

I use a ton of them all together. hehe

      Hi there

Thank you for the work you have done, I feel you produce some of the most useful extensions to make Firefox even more of a pleasure to use.

Using the javascript console, I have noticed that the following errors are produced when visiting almost any webpage. Do you know why they happen?

      Allow Right-Click
Error: [Exception... "Component is not available" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://allowrightclick/content/allowrightclickOverlay.xul :: rightClickSet :: line 13" data: no]
      Source File: chrome://allowrightclick/content/allowrightclickOverlay.xul
      Line: 13

      Remember Password
Error: [Exception... "Component is not available" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://password/content/passwordOverlay.xul :: password :: line 19" data: no]
      Source File: chrome://password/content/passwordOverlay.xul
      Line: 19

Your website is very nicely designed, but I found it impossible to post a comment to the extensions sections, so I have posted them here. I hope you don’t mind!

      Best wishes
      Hal
