I tried to get this to work in an extension, but it ain’t happening.

Update! It is now a working extension, mostly thanks to Nick, developer of InfoLister, and master of jedi XUL tricks. I’ll leave the original article as below for informational purposes.

Got 5 minutes to spare? Put them to good use!

Filed under: general — Eric @ 10:44 pm

My friend Stephen Moseley just went live with a new web site called Cool People Care. The purpose of the site is such:

If people are told how they can make a difference in less than 5 minutes a day, they just might do it. And, just like tiny water droplets make a tidal wave, if you get enough people to care for 5 minutes a day, you’ll change the world. Thus, 5 Minutes of Caring was born. This 99-word, daily suggestion is full of practical tips and helpful hints designed to motivate individuals to act. Loaded with links to change agents and charitable organizations, this brief distraction from your daily routine will soon become part of it.

So take a few minutes out of your daily routine and do some good, as Elliot Ness would say.

    Buy my crap!

Filed under: general — Eric @ 11:12 pm

I’m clearing out a bunch of stuff from the old homestead to make room for the new bundle of boy to arrive soon, and we need the extra cash. To e-bay!

There’s all kinds of swell stuff for sale, like a basically-new Nintendo DS Lite with Super Mario Brothers, a few types of watches, and obscure data cables! How can you not be excited??

A lot of books are going up soon on the chopping block, as well. I have some coding books, vegetarian books (The wife’s, not mine. I live on animal fat), and “The Hip Mama’s Survival Guide.”

    What? I can be hip.
